چکیده

today, effective interpersonal relationships are key factors for success of the organizations. so, we need to examine and understand the social competence that is required for effective interpersonal relationship. humor is a common communicational strategy that it can have an important role in social competence and interpersonal relationship. this research has attempted to examine the impact of personnel's humor style on social competence in organizational interpersonal relationship. this study is an applied research, and according to objectives, it is a descriptive/correlative approach. statistical society included all personnel of the north khorasan province. sixty-eight people are randomly selected as a sample. the research data collection tools are martin and others humor styles questionnairy and buhrmesteret and others social competence questionnairy. in this study, data obtained from questionnaires have been analysis by pearson correlation, liner regression and one sample t-tests. findings indicated that humor styles are effective on social competence. affiliative and self-enhancing humor styles have a positive impact on social competence; aggressive and self defeating humor styles have a negative impact on social competence; and the combination of them able to predict social competence; and the employees amount use of humor styles and also their social competence level are up of middle.
